I’m working on adding roller coaster videos to each of my coaster reviews. Thanks to YouTube, I can embed the videos into my posts. Quite often, the videos don’t do the rides justice, but I know a lot of people want to know as much as they can about the roller coasters they haven’t ridden. Especially today when I can see a POV or onride video of a coaster I’m not likely to ever get to experience in person. Like the B&M hyper coaster Silver Star that’s in Germany. Or Thunder Dolphin, the Intamin that flies over streets of Tokyo.
Just remember that many times you really have to ride the coaster before you can judge it. Shaky cameras, bad editing, and horrible music are common in these videos. You can’t experience airtime, g-forces, and speed from watching an amateur online roller coaster video. But they are pretty cool and along with the great coaster image sites they’re making a lot of coaster enthusiasts smile. Isn’t Web 2.0 great?
**Update** All coaster reviews have been updated with embedded videos. Enjoy!
