POV Video | Wicked Cyclone at Six Flags New England

Roller Coaster Videos

Without a doubt, Wicked Cyclone is one of the best looking new roller coasters of 2015. It’s been open for a while now and it looks like an enormous improvement over the painful Cyclone. It looks to be glass smooth like the similarly designed New Texas Giant.

Check out this POV video of Wicked Cyclone:

Wicked Cyclone Video Highlights

Wicked Cyclone might be one of the BEST combinations of airtime and loops we’ve seen. There are numerous hills in between those wicked inversions (zero g stall and two zero g rolls). Could this be the ride that unites looping coaster fans and hard-core airtime fans? Six Flags New England has quite an amazing one-two punch with top rated Bizarro and now Wicked Cyclone.

What’s Your Take?
I’d love to hear from people who have ridden Wicked Cyclone. What did you think? Does look as good as this video? Leave a comment below.

Founder of CoasterCritic.com. My favorite coasters are B&M hypers and gigas. I'm also a huge fan of terrain roller coasters.

  1. Six Flags Discovery Kingdom has announced the closure of Roar. The GCI wood coaster is slated to give its last rides to park guests on August 16, amid growing speculation of the coaster receiving the Rocky Mountain Construction I-Box/iron horse re-track renovation. At the same time, it’s also speculated that RMC is renovating Kentucky Kingdom’s Twisted Twins coaster, and working on Dollywood’s new Shot-Rod launched wood coaster.

    • Thanks for the news tips Eric. I’ve been out of the loop for a bit, but I’m getting back in.

  3. I rode Wicked Cyclone in June, and it is a GREAT ride! Like any RMC coaster, it is very smooth. I watched the POV before I rode it, and the ride is even more fun than it appears in the video. There’s never a dull moment; it constantly throws twists and turns and inversions at you. It has good airtime, and before you can catch your breath from the previous element, another one comes at you! I still like Bizarro better, but not by much! Wicked Cyclone is going to make it on a lot of riders’ top ten lists. It’s already on mine!
(By the way, you might want to correct your headline… WICKED Cyclone… not Twisted Cyclone.)

    • It sounds like it might even be better than it looks. And thanks for the note about WICKED. I made the correction. Not sure where I got Twisted from. Thanks!

      • I think it’s because RMC’s latest coasters are Twisted Colossus and Wicked Cyclone. You just combined them!
