Theme Parks Get Spooky with Halloween 2009 Transformations
This month, theme parks across the country will be sporting a much darker, and macabre appearance. The undead creatures of the night and villains from horror movies like Saw will invade your local park.
During weekends in the month of October, many parks around the country transform with Halloween-themed events like Six Flags’ popular Fright Fests. The level of theming varies from park to park, but generally guests can expect spooky decorations, haunted houses and mazes, fog, and strange and disturbing costumed performers roaming around the park.
Halloween events are NOT for small children and many brand their events as PG-13. Each park and/or chain has a name for their event. Below are links to some of the most popular Halloween theme park promotions:
Fright Fest at Six Flags Park
Halloween Horror Nights at Universal Studios Hollywood and Orlando
Halloween Haunts at:
Kings Dominion
Kings Island
Dorney Park
Worlds of Fun
Knott’s Scary Farms at Knott’s Berry Farms
HalloWeekends at Cedar Point
ValleyScare at Valleyfair!
Scarowinds at Carowinds
Howl-O-Screamat Busch Gardens Tampa & Williamsburg
Hersheypark in the Dark at Hersheypark
Hallowboo! at Idlewild
Phantom Fright Nights at Kennywood
Frightmares at Lagoon
Phobia at Wild Adventures

I go to scarowinds annually and I'm really looking forward to when I get to go because they have more haunted houses and one more scare zone. Oh just a tip try to avoid going to a Halloween event on Halloween or the weekend before. It is packed!
well, disney one is for kids
i hate halloween celebrations, they`re lust to grusome for me.
PS – CC, i thought knots berry farm turned to knots scary farm.

*you ask me
Thanks guys. I made the change. Part of the fun with these events is laughing at the names. I read somewhere that Knott's Scary Farm started the whole trend years ago. If I find more info I'll post it here.
