Banshee Video Highlights

I love that B&M is using the more open restraints that we’ve seen on their wing coasters on this new inverted coaster. There should be almost no headbanging as riders’ heads will have more room to move.

The layout looks fun, but I almost wish that there were longer transitions. While the loops provide different kinds of forces, for many it’ll just feel like they were upside-down most of the ride. The best part looks to be the in-line twist, downward helix finale. It reminiscent of X-Flight’s finish.

Banshee is a solid ride with some nice positive geforces. Every time I ride it I feel like every element is meant to be there. The first two inversions push riders into their seats, with a zero-G roll following to give riders a new thrill. After that there are more positive G elements with a great finale inline twist.

Looks like an Alpengeist and Raptor squasher. The final in line twist which leads into a helix is a terrific element that is also on Top Gun aka Flight Deck at California’s Great America, which is by far the best moment on tthe ride.
