Banshee at Mason, Ohio’s Kings Island was introduced as the world’s longest inverted coaster. Aside from any record-breaking facts toted at its introduction, in person, this new-for-2014 B&M beaut is huge and moves an impressive amount of people through its queues every day the park is open.
So Why Not Get Inverted?

Banshee is the best invert in the world. Period. Though Montu is in the running (and when the Dragons used to Duel, they were up there as well), and I imagine Nemesis is too, nothing can beat the fact that Banshee gets *faster* in the 2nd half. Plus, that slow in-line twist at the end delivers amazing hangtime. I rode it at 10pm at night in the front row and nearly peed my pants, it was THAT good. #1 on my list.
I’m looking forward to riding Banshee for the first time at the end of April. Had the pleasure of re-riding Montu a couple of days before Christmas and it’s probably my favorite invert to date. Nemesis – assuming that Eric is referring to the one at Alton Towers – is an outstanding ride but on a much smaller scale.
I can’t wait to hear how you like Banshee, Bobbie! I’m a big fan and I it’s one of those great coasters that you can just watch train after train of people go by, fun itself.
I LOVE Banshee. I love how fast it blasts through the 2nd half and even the last turn (I think B&M calls it a carousel) into the brake run still pulls some good G’s. Can’t wait to ride this year.
