Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit’s bright red track has changed the skyline of the Universal Studios Orlando with it’s 167 foot vertical lift and one-of-a-kind non-inverting loop. I’m excited about a N.E.R.D. song making the list. They’re a great band with a unique sound. I’m surprised that they made the list, because they’re not as popular as the rest of the choices. I’d like to give a virtual pat on the back to whoever pulled the tracks together. It would be cool to see which tracks are chosen the most. After ‘Rock Star’, I’d probably choose ‘Sabotage’,  ‘Intergalactic’, and then ‘Hella Good’ (produced by the Neptunes members of the aforementioned N.E.R.D.).

  1. Some of these songs dont go together. For instance, Sabatoge is one of them and then Glamorous????By Fergie???????Well that doesnt matter i really like most of these songs. Well i see how they are making music that anyones going to want to buy. Because of this music stuff, the rides going to make alot of money. This is really good for them.

  2. It is sad. I read through the list and have heard of THREE of the songs.

(If you care to know, there Born to be Wild, Thats the Way [I like it], and Devil went down to Georgia)

  3. I know pretty much every song on this sound track. I dont think they picked to good of songs. I can see that lots of people dont know most of these songs. I think they shouldnt have added some songs that they did

  4. Does anyone know how loud this lift hill really is. If you get up close to this lift it is the loudest thing. Man and its wierd how the drops are all uneven. The drops are kinda slanted

  5. The Classic Rock/Metal chart sucks! Barely any of those songs are even classic rock or metal!

“Born to Be Wild,” Hinder – A classic rock song covered by a post-grunge band.

“Bring Me to Life,” Evanescence – Alternative metal.

“Gimme All Your Lovin’,” ZZ Top – Ok, classic rock.

“Kickstart My Heart,” Mötley Crüe – I guess it's more metal than anything else on the chart… that's sad.

“Paralyzer,” Finger Eleven – Alternative rock.

“Rollin’,” Limp Bizkit – Nu metal crap.

Sorry, I hate to bring genres into this, but why didn't they just call it "rock" instead?

And hopefully they get better songs in the future.

  6. Why did they have to put metal in it. Metal is pretty much rock gone wrong. Its just terribly music. But there are a couple songs that i actually like. I agree with you Emma, that music shouldnt even exist

  7. The one metal band THE ONLY ONE that was good, was Metallica. And they don't even have them. So, yes this metal list is crap. And too much Black Eyed Peas. Only songs I like on here are: U cant touch this, Devil went down to Georgia, Rockstar, Pump it, and Thats the way ( I like it)

  8. With regards to the metal label, I guess they just wanted it to seem like they were covering all of the bases. Limp Bizkit IS technically Nu Metal so I guess it's accurate, but they could have just went with Rock/Alternative or something.

Anyway, I like the list overall. It's got a wide variety of styles and I would think anyone could find something that they'd A) be familiar with B) Enjoy listening to while riding. I'm surprised that some of you aren't as familiar with the songs, but at least you can go to the site and sample them.

  9. U cant touch this sounds so messed up! I mean, now there is an echo on it.

  10. I found the majority of the song choices uninspiring, especially when combined with a (presumably) exciting ride on a coaster. I think a Crystal Method song would work well, but I'm surprised there are two choices. Why not just have one and include an additional artist instead? I agree with some previous comments about the lame Rock/Metal choices…Ugh! With "Hollywood" in the name of the coaster, there should definitely be some movie themes as choices. Star Wars and Indiana Jones come to mind. Also, some classic stuff like March of the Valkyries or Flight of the Bumblebee would work. Hopefully, other song choices will become available over time.

  11. Yep. "Hero" by Chad Kroeger or Kenny Loggins "Danger Zone" would be excellent.

But really, I was expecting Beatles, Rolling Stones, Aerosmith, AC/DC, maybe even Journy or Alabama, but the rock list, is, well, obscure.

Maybe as the ride gets older they'll add more. I'll keep crossing my fingers for a Christian Rock section.

  12. Yes i would so love some Christian rock. Cause my favorite type of music is Christian rock no question about it

  13. Ha, I guess my post was misread… metal is actually my favorite genre and I'm a proud metalhead. I just think that the songs they chose to represent "metal" doesn't represent metal in any way.

  14. Genres of music can be pretty grey, Emma. Remember how many people in the media were calling Chris Brown a rapper just because he was black when he obviously sings R&B? Agreed. Metal wasn't a good classification for that group.

Anyway, I should do a post on Time Machine's tracks. I think that they may be more 'obvious'. Plus they span five decades so there are a lot of classics that everyone would know.

And some Christian Rock would be cool. I'm not sure who I'd want to hear on a roller coaster, but why not if they have all those other genres. POD or Chevelle would be awesome although they're not really classified as Christian music.

  15. That looks like a pretty weak ride for serious rollercoasterers.

Kinda slow and same old turns and twists as so many other roller coasters. No steep long drops, no real speed.

I am talking about serious rollercoasters like Batman and Robin and Joker at Six Flag, Jacksonville, NJ and Kingda Ku also there. And also Superman in CA at Six Flags and the coasters at Cedars Point in Sandusky, Ohio.

I point his out because this is new.

So lets see something new designers!!!!!!!

And to hell with the music that most people wont like anyway. I would rather hear and feel the sound and flow of the ride that is a big part of the feeling and fear like the serious rollercoaster connoisseus know.

  16. ok, first thing: i am JaMeS, bbut i changed it

now, rockit is my fave coaster above apollo, and even kumba. It does look not so intense, but remember this:

    tallest in orlando

    vertical climb

    70 degree drop

    160 foot drop

    non inverting loop

    outside park

    5 trains at a time

i know the music aint that gr8. but thats why i got the pockit rockit

  17. the selection ait broad, but it covers more modern music, which will attract teens, thus gaining more ppl at the park than 60 year olds, but when thay see it, they will freak out and leave.

good songsssssssssss i love this songsssssssss

  19. are you a snake? 🙂

  20. ok so if u r still here sage, not many people that go to universal are hardcore enthousiasts, but more families. this is what they want. not every new coaster has to have a new element. not every one of them has to be huge. not every one of them has to be 120+ mph. if u like coasters, appreciate them unless you really hate coasters, then just dont ride them

  21. What does the "15" in your screen name mean?

  22. 2 things:

    i was born july 15

im a huge tim tebow fan

  23. They should have "Life is a Highway" by rascal flatts on the sound track. It is a good song and would be great listening to on a roller coaster!

  24. Needs something kids listen to a lot like katy perry, qnd justin bieber , and more of the black eyed peas

  25. Coming from someone who’s ridden this the best song by far to listen to is Stronger. Even If you don’t like the song the drops go with the beat and it is Ultra Hype and Fun!

  26. […] más sentarte. Tendrás unos 20 segundos así que elige rápido!). Aquí dejamos el enlace con las canciones del Hollywood Rip Ride Rock It.  Ah, y tiene una subida en vertical que es […]

  27. I love several of these songs, but they are a bit dated. I support the idea of changing the list a bit just to appeal to more audiences.

  28. I would have wanted Guns N Roses on this ride.

  29. Aqua the Amazing Avatar
    Aqua the Amazing

    HEY PEEPS!

LISTEN UP U R RUINING UR RIP RIDE ROLLERCOASTER The songs are terrible they are slow and too funky. Also why would you put some slow junk music on such a cool fast ride? There also too 1900 themed sooo many people want something more 2020 like maybe, some Taylor Swift or the Beetles or “stuck in the middle” or “baby shark” or”old Tom rode “or “Ed Sharon” or like “Ariana Grande “ or even” Lady Gaga “ do something along those lines and people will be soooo excited and only want to go on this ride.

    Thanks for your time bye
